TOOL ELECTRODE WEAR IN THE OPEN SYSTEM ELECTRO DISCHARGE MACHINING (EDM)

The application of electrical discharge machining (EDM) under optimum conditions requires knowledge of the occurring technological phenomena, as well as activation of machining for increasing production rates, accuracy and quality. This paper describes a study of EDM with the technological vibration of the “technological machining system”. The concept of technological force has been introduced out of the necessity of modelling accurately as possible the phenomena occurring during machining.
