Organic-inorganic nanohybrid particles for biomedical applications

2021
Abstract Studies on organic-inorganic hybrid materials are one of the most attractive fields of materials chemistry these days. Recent developments in materials science allow us to use supramolecular chemistry approaches for the fabrication of nanoscaled hybrid materials. In this chapter, the development of functional nanohybrid materials with a spherical structure and their possible applications in biomedical fields are reviewed. The liposomal nanohybrid cerasome, stimuli-responsive hollow capsules, and nanogel-based magnetic nanohybrid spheres are highlighted in detail.
