Automating and Centralizing Human Resource Processes

The objective of this research is to investigate how the level of automation and centralization of human resource (HR) processes may influence the effectiveness and efficiency of these processes and which factors can play a moderating role in these relationships. Building on this background, it is examined to what extent it may be effective and efficient to automate and centralize certain HR processes on corporate and regional level within Wavin. This is done via a literature review and interviews conducted among HR managers within Wavin. The literature review reveals that automation can influence the level of efficiency and effectiveness of HR processes depending on the following moderating variables: the strategic value of a HR process and company size.
