REDUCING EDGE ARTIFACTS AT THE TILE BOUNDARIES USING JPEG2000

In this paper, JPEG2000 offers a wide range of functionalities in lossy coding. To produce high resolution and improving quality, better compression efficiency, performing error resilience and ROI coding. The resulting of lossy coding to increasing bit rates(Bit -perpixel) value automatically Peak- Signal-to-Noise-Ratio(PSNR) value also increase, it perform side-by-side operations to improve image accuracy. The JPEG2000 standard offers to reduce edge artifacts at the tile boundaries. Its encoder operation to partition the entire image into rectangular blocks called €tiles to compute the compression. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm depends on this tiles size. Practical results of proposed method yield a sensitive quality improvement of the image in terms of complexity of JPEG2000 encoder.
