Effect of blood-activating and stasis-dissolving prescription on vascular endothelial growth factor and basic fibroblast growth factors of patients with cyclomastopathy

2011
Objective To investigate the effect and clinical efficacy of blood-activating and stasis-dissolving prescription on vascular endothelial growth factor and basic fibroblast growth factors of patients with cyclomastopathy. Methods 88 patients with cyclomastopathy were randomly divided into two groups.Treatment group received blood-activating and stasis-dissolving prescription.Control group received conventional western therapy.30 health cases were as normal control group. The changes of VEGF and bFGF in serum in three groups were measured by ELISA.Results The total effective rate in treatment group was 91.67% and 89.29% in control group. There was no difference between two groups on the total effective rate(P0.05).VEGF and bFGF before treatment in control group and treatment group were higher than those in normal control group(P0.05).VEGF and bFGF after treatment were decreased as compared with those before treatment in two groups(P0.05).There was no difference between two groups on VEGF and bFGF after treatment(P0.05).VEGF levels in two groups after treatment were pretty as those of normal control group(P0.05).Conclusion The over-expression of VEGF and bFGF in cyclomastopathy suggested that angiogenesis is an important part of the development of cyclomastopathy.Blood-activating and stasis-dissolving prescription can reduce the contents of VEGF and bFGF in serum of patients, can block angiogenesis, promote lesion dissipation, absorption, and is an effective prescription for the treatment of cyclomastopathy.
