Effect of male and female ratio on increasing reproductive performance of porcupines.

This study was designed to explore the different ratio of male and female litter size in raising porcupines,survive for several other reproductive performance.2 years old,parity and litter size similar to the adult Porcupine 92(32 male and 60 female)were randomly divided into five groups,each with 4 replicates,respectively,according to a public and a mother,one male two female,one male and three female,two male and five female,three male and four female with a pilot program is divided into five kinds,each group carried out using the same diet fed,after one year of testing,the abortion and birth number of mother Porcupine number,litter size,food and litter size,the number of surviving Aberdeen porcupine was recorded during the period.The results showed that:5 different mix of male and female,the male and female ratio of one public and the mother of two porcupines farrowing rate and survival rate of Aberdeen was 87.50%,94.12% respectively,with an average litter size of 2.13,reproduction the best performance and economic benefits.
