Realizing network slicing

2021
Abstract Network Slicing is a technique to leverage a given physical network and computation infrastructure to provide different QoS on demand. Each type of service is allocated a partition (or a slice) of the underlying infrastructure. In this chapter, we focus on the realization of NS, partially enabled through software-defined networking. Thus, in this chapter, we provide hands-on examples to illustrate the concept of NS.
