Seed Coat Structure and Histochemistry of Abelmoschus esculentus. Chalazal Region and Water Entry
1992
The seed coat structure and histochemistry of Abelmoschus esculentus , an important species of the Malvaceae, were studied by bright-field, fluorescence and scanning electron microscopy. Our purpose was to correlate the morphological and histochemical features of the seed coat, mostly in the chalazal region, with the onset of water entry
