Novel exemestane solid dispersion

2011
[Problem] The absorption of sparingly soluble drugs is increased by improving the solubility thereof by using a polymer to make a sparingly soluble drug, such as exemestane, into a solid dispersion. However, while the exemestane temporarily exhibits high solubility, the exemestane precipitates due to supersaturation and the like, and a reduction in solubility occurs. An exemestane solid dispersion is required that is capable of maintaining solubility over a long period of time without the solubility decreasing over time. [Solution] A drug composition in which the exemestane has a high, non decreasing, level of solubility, is provided by using two types of polymer, an elution improving polymer and a dissolution inhibiting polymer, to make a sparingly soluble drug into a solid dispersion by a method such as a solvent method, a melting method, or a mechanochemical method.
