Subspecialization of neonatologists

In our country, the German Democratic Republic, there are now approximately 15 different subspecialities throughout the various fields of medicine. Each programme for such special education is developed by the respective medical society and has to be authorized by the Academy for Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Health.
