A new method utilizing a target of “defined thickness” for charge particle activation analysis

Abstract A method is proposed for the trace determination of high Z elements in a matrix without producing high activity from the matrix itself. This method is also useful in the analysis of any target which cannot be obtained for irradiation as a conventional “thick” target.
