The invention belongs to the field of mirror image storage of a distributed file system-based cloud management platform in cloud computing, and relates to a multi-backup nearby storage and reading method and a multi-backup nearby storage and reading system of a cloud host mirror image file. The method comprises the following steps: segmenting the cloud host mirror image file into data blocks, backing up and storing in a plurality of computing node servers, wherein a complete cloud host mirror image file is stored at one local computing node server, and the data blocks of the other backups are averagely distributed to other computing node servers to store; recording computing node server information stored corresponding to each data block of the cloud host mirror image file by using a metadata server; preferably reading data from one local computing node server by a client; reading the entire piece of data from the other computing node servers concurrently if the local computing node server fails. The method and the system are suitable for storing the cloud host mirror image files in the cloud management platform, the performance of the system can be improved, and higher storage and reading speed can be achieved.
