Overload-protected right-mechanical piezoelectric energy converter for converting mechanical energy into electrical energy by the action of mechanical energy in the form of variable mechanical pressure to a piezoelectric element so that it comes to a deformation of the piezoelectric element in a defined spatial direction, and this deformation to a defined mechanical compressive stress of the piezoelectric element leads, wherein the piezoelectric element is embedded in such a manner in a housing, that a deformation of the piezoelectric element is only possible in a defined spatial direction, and wherein the deformation of the piezoelectric element by the action of kinetic energy to the piezoelectric element occurs.
