ANALYSIS ON THE CLEANING EFFECT ON CENTRAL AIR-CONDITIONER SYSTEM IN CHENGDU

2010
[Objective] By comparing the hygienic condition of central air-conditioner system between unclean system and clean system in Chengdu, it can draw a conclusion that how cleaning makes the positive influence on the central air-conditioner system. [Methods] 65 air-conditioner systems were selected randomly in Chengdu which had been worked over two years, of which 10 were cleaned, 55 were unclean. [Results] In uncleaned systems, the qualified rates of the total hygienic indicator, PM10 in ventilation, microorganism-indicator in ventilation, dust weight in air duct and microorganism-indicator in air duct were 20.0%, 60.0%, 16.67%, 50.0% and 83.33%, respectively. The rates in cleaned systems were 80.0%, 100%, 90.6%, 88.46% and 96.15%, respectively. There were significant statistic difference in the total hygienic indicator, PM10 in ventilation, microorganism-indicator in ventilation and dust weight in air duct between uncleaned systems and cleaned systems. [Conclusion] Mechanical cleaning can clean the central air-conditioner system effectively, and make the systems safer to our health. But only mechanical cleaning cannot reduce the contaminant to the under-standard level. Disinfection after cleaning may be more helpful for killing microorganic.
