Threshold signal shaper for detector operating under increased loads

This paper describes a threshold signal shaper for nuclear radiation detectors operating under conditions (n /SUB c/ tau /SUB d/ is greater than or equal to 1) where n /SUB c/ is the load and tau /SUB d/ is the time response of the detector. The shaper employs a nonlinear filter with separate channels for amplitude and time processing of signals. A block diagram of the shaper is shown and a differential spectrogram is illustrated. The shaper is also effective in solving some problems of amplitude spectrometry.
