A method and apparatus for monitoring a signal

The invention relates to a method and to a device for monitoring a signal, especially a pressure signal that characterizes the pressure potential at the inlet and the outlet of an exhaust gas aftertreatment system. The device detects any errors on the basis of oscillations in the sensor signal.
