Torque control for turbocharged engine

Engine system comprising an engine having an intake manifold and a turbocharger, which supplies the intake air compressed. An engine control module calculates a target air pressure upstream of the throttle valve and a desired manifold air flow into the engine. The engine control module determines based on the target air per cylinder, of the desired manifold pressure and the speed of a range of the target pressure before the throttle valve and generates control signals for controlling the engine with the turbocharger.
