Oxidation hair dyes based on a creamy carrier composition and method for dyeing hair

1992
Oxidation hair dye in cream form consisting of a carrier and a dye mixture dissolved therein, containing: (A) 10 to 30 wt. % of at least one fatty alcohol with 10 to 24 carbon atoms; (B) 0.2 to 6.0 wt. % of at least one diester of formula: R1-CO-O-(CH2-CH2-O)n-CO-R2, where n is 1, 2 or 3, and R1 and R2 are the same or different alkyl radicals with 12 to 20 carbon atoms; (C) 0.5 to 20 wt. % glycerine fatty acid ester with 10 to 24 carbon atoms; (D) 0.1 to 10 wt. % of non-ionic and/or anionic and/or ampholytic emulsifiers, in relation to the total quantity of hair dye, and (E) has a pH of 4.5 to 12.5. Even at higher temperatures, the oxidation hair dye relatively easily forms emulsions which do not thicken after long storage and can more easily be handled once out of the tube.
