Progress of study on inheritance and gene localization of wheat scab(Gibberella zeae)

Advances in researching into wheat scab were reviewed in terms of disease-resistant performance and identification methods,inheritance mechanisms,impacts of phenotypic traits on resistance to wheat scab,localization and molecular marking of the resistant or susceptible genes,and application of molecular marker-assisted selection to breeding for the disease resistance,and the prospects of breeding for the disease resistance were also discussed,providing a reference material for quickly breeding new cultivars highly resistant to the disease.
