ANALYTICAL AND NUMERICAL RESEARCH OF STRESS INTENSITY FACTOR WITH MULTI-CRACKS IN FINITE PLATE CONSIDERING THE FRICTION OF CRACK SURFACES

2012
Under biaxial compression, considering the friction between crack surfaces, the comparison analysis of stress intensity factor analytical solution in double and single crack in infinite plate show that: friction on crack surfaces have no impact on the correction factor of stress intensity factor on multi-cracks,yet have an effect on effective shearing stress. For example, the solution of infinite plane with cycle crack was acted as the approximate theory solution of stress intensity factor in finite plane with collinear multi-cracks.The stress intensity factor of finite plane with two collinear cracks was calculated using the finite element method, and compared with the approximate theory solution. The calculation result show that: the approximate theory solution of the finite plane with two collinear cracks is basically consistent with the numerical solution calculated by the finite element method, and the conclusion that the friction have no effect on correction factor is further verified, the frictionless correction factor caused by the interaction of multi-cracks can be acted as the correction factor considering the friction.
