A primary study of the polymorphism of candidate-gene EDN1 of PIH

Aim: To investigate the association of EDN1 gene with PIH in Chinese, the polymorphism of in EDN 1 was studied. Methods: PCR assay for detecting the gene including fragment of EDN1 was developed. The length of amplicon was 358 bp. The amplified fragments were analyzed by digestion of restriction endonuclease TaqⅠ. Results: the frequency of T1 allele is 80.9%,and the frequency of T2 allele is 19.1%. Conclusion: it is confirmed that the TaqⅠpolymorphism is associated with the endothelin-1 gene in Chinese of Han nationality. [
