Viral Load pada Kanker Serviks Terinfeksi Human Papilloma Virus Tipe 16

2013
The most common cause ofcervical cancer is HPV-16 infection. The integration process between of host DNA and HPV virus DNA depends on the amount ofviral load (VL). The objective of this study was to determine the average and cut off point of VL on cervical cancer with HPV-16 infection. The study design was a case-control study during year of 2010-2011 which performed at Obstetrics& Gynecology Department, Medical Faculty Udayana University and Biomedical Laboratory RSUD Mataram. The diagnose of cervical cancer based on histopatological, HPV-16by PCR and VL HPV-16 by PCR-EIA. The amount of 18samples as a case group of cervical cancer with positive VL HPV-16 and 18 samples as a control group of non-cervical cancer withpositive VL HPV-16. In the both groups, the averageof VL HPV-16 are 2,0 x 107copy/μg and 2,8 x 105copy/μg, respectively. The cut off point of VL HPV-16 is 2.9x 105copy/μg for 88% of sensitivity and 94% of specificity. This cut off point is required to achieve HPV-16 DNA integration.(MOG 2013;21 77-83)
