Laparoscopic nephron sparing surgery:the state of the art and prospect

With the more and more understanding about small renal cell carcinoma, radical nephrectomy is not the only operation for patients with small renal cell carcinoma. The effect of laparoscopy nephron-sparing surgery is nearly as same as radical nephrectomy. Laparoscopic nephron-sparing surgery is now available in many medical centers. Although laparoscopic nephron-sparing surgery is an advanced procedure with potential for complications and requires considerable experience, it is feasible for the patients with small renal tumor.
