Application of Near Infrared Transmittance Spectroscopy (NITS) in Determining Amylose Content of Rice Grain
2004
Rice samples were scanned with a Foss Tecator Infratec and their amylose content was determinedusing a standard wet chemical method.Calibration software along with several mathematicaltreatments of the sample spectra and several regression methods was used to optimize a nearinfrared transmittance spectroscopy equation for determining rice amylose content. The standarderror of calibration, standard error of cross-validation and regression squared of thecalibration were 1.489, 1.761 and 0.885,respectively.
