Comparative Analysis of Stacked Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antennas Based on Finite Defected Ground Plane

2020
This paper presents a comparative analysis of stacked rectangular dielectric resonator antenna with finite defected ground plane. This paper validates the relative electromagnetic response of our designed dielectric resonator antenna with infinite ground plane and finite defected ground plane. Results shows that minimum levels of co and cross polarization levels for E & H field is less than -40 dB with maximum gain of 5 dB and radiation efficiency of 101.23 % while considering infinite ground plane beneath the substrate. It is showing multiband response and resonating at three different frequencies of 1.697, 6.909 & 10.201 GHz whereas modified finite ground plane structure shows ultra- wide band response with relative reduction in gain and directivity.
