La configuración del habitante de calle como sujeto social

2018
This undergraduate work was carried out within the framework of the research in Community Social Development of the UPN-CINDE Master's program, with the aim of analyzing the configuration of the street dweller as a Social Subject in the light of its relationship with the conditions of the socio-economic context established by the neoliberal development model. Based on the life stories of eight adult male street dwellers in the city of Bogota, we sought to understand the relationship of this situation of citizen habitability with the preceding orders of socio-family interaction, the way in which social bonds are reconstituted in the space of the street and the function that it fulfills within the general socio-economic dynamics. The results indicate that the street dweller, over and above its limited and limiting living conditions of the ideological and economic imperatives of the neoliberal model, is functionally articulated to them, resignifies their experiences and builds their habitat in the street from perspectives that have valid nuances of autonomy, acceptance and creation of survival strategies.
