“Normal” Values in Vitreous Humor — Reflections and Refutations

Vitreous humor is used widely in Forensic Pathology as an aid in determining the cause of death due to the fact that postmortem diffusion processes after loss of selective membrane permeability are too fast and erratic in the other body fluids and serum abnormalities of living individuals are thought to be reflected in the vitreous.
