Comparative study on ABC analysis and ranking analysis method in inventory control in

Objective To compare the differences and advantages between ABC analysis method and ranking analysis method in the control of hospital drug inventory and cost,and explore the procurement mode of ranking analysis method.Methods The drug purchasing data and drug consumption data in a year in our hospital were collected and respectively analyzed by ABC analysis and ranking analysis method.Results A total of 142 kinds of hospital drug inventory were collected by ABC analysis method,occupying 11.45％ of total inventory species,with 5,030,000 units(20.84％ of total,36,0600,000yuan,55.25％ of total)by the year 2010,while the results by ranking analysis method was 488 kinds,accounting 44.36％ of inventory species,with 2,160,000 units,accounting for 84.36％ of total inventory.And the amount of 48,910,000 yuan,accounting for 86.33％ of the total amount.Conclusions It shows that ranking analysis method can overcome the disadvantage of ABC analysis method in the actual operation,provide the hospital drug supply,reduce the hospital inventory,improve hospital drug inventory management efficiency and effectiveness.By using the ranking analysis method,we can make drug level limit setting more reasonable,purchasing plan to generate more scientific,and realize the optimal inventory control of hospital drug.
