A method for imaging of a prostate tumor and for suitable contrast agent

The invention relates to a method for imaging a prostate tumor (1), in which the patient is supplied with a via the bloodstream distributable contrast agent containing at least one type of biomarkers (4) which are each attached to a ferromagnetic particles (8) and specifically bind typical of the tumor formed within the tumor or in a neighboring tumor tissue target molecule (5), wherein the imaging by means of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is effected. The invention also relates to a contrast agent of the type mentioned.
