Said device (1) comprises a chamber (60) comprising at least one ink jet head (10), an inlet (66) for a gas having a lower molar mass than air, and at least one outlet (21) for said gas, said head (10) being arranged in the chamber (60) in such a way that the gas can be injected around the head (10) and removed from the chamber along with the ink supplied by the head.
