Thispaperpresents 12V1OAlchip DC/DCconverter ICbasedonthelowcost0.6umBiCDprocess. Thechipadopted lowimpedance metalbumptechnology anda highspeedgate driving technique forlarge LDMOS,whatwe call"distributed drivercircuit". The fabricated chipachieves thattheon resistance of20Voutput LDMOS is9.7mQ((*drain current=5A, gatevoltage=5V) andthemaximumefficiency is88.9%atoutput current5A whentheinputvoltage, theoutputvoltage and switching frequency is12V,1.3Vand780KHz, respectively.
