EDUCATIONAL GAME SMART WORD COMMUNICATION MEDIA FOR AUTISTIC CHILDREN

This study aims to test the validity of communication learning media for children with autism in everyday life. This research method uses the development of the Thiagarajan 4D model which is applied in three stages, namely: definition, design, and development. Development products in the form of a smart word education game are equipped with instructions and objectives for their feasibility testing, limited to validity tests from material experts, media experts, and special education and testing experts. The results show that the smart word educational game product is suitable for use because it has been validated by material experts, a percentage of 76% is obtained with the criteria "good" and the description "appropriate". From media experts obtained a percentage value of 75% with the criteria "good" and information "appropriate". From specially education needs experts obtained a percentage value of 81.1% with the criteria "good" and the information "feasible". This means that the smart word educational game media is feasible to be applied in improving the communication skills of children with autism.
