Structure Du Kotschyioside, Saponoside Nouveau Isole De Aspilia Kotschyi (Sch. Bip.) Oliv

2010
The major component of the saponin mixture from leaves of Aspilia Kotschyi (Asteraceae) has been isolated as a peracetylated and cristalline derivative. Its structure has been established essentially by NMR spectroscopy including two dimensional NMR and shown to be : 3β-0-(4 deoxy-α-hex-4 enopyranosyluronic acid) 3 1 α-L-rhamnopyranosyl, 28-0-β-D-glucopyranosyl oleanolic acid. The name “Kotschyioside” is proposed for this new saponin.
