Information transmission method and apparatus

Embodiments of the present invention provide an information transmission method and apparatus. The information transmission method comprises: a base station determines a first transmission resource; the base station sends first information by means of the first transmission resource, the first information comprising at least one of the following: system information and control information for scheduling the system information; the base station determines at least one second transmission resource; and the base station sends second information to a UE by means of the second transmission resource, the second information comprising at least one of the following: a paging message, a random access response message, a contention solving message, control information for scheduling the paging message, control information for scheduling the random access response message, and control information for scheduling the contention solving message. By means of the information transmission method and apparatus provided in the embodiments of the present invention, the sending of repeated information is avoided on the basis that the information transmission capacity is limited, thereby saving system resources.
