Surface Plasmon Resonance Based Microstructured Optical Fiber Sensor in IR Regime Using ITO Layer
2021
Optical fiber surface plasmon resonance (SPR) based sensors are doubtlessly required for the coming development of miniaturised and compact sensor system. SPR based on solid-core hexagonal microstructured optical fiber (H-MOF) with a conducting metal oxide (such as indium tin oxide (ITO)) as the sensing material is demonstrated as a refractive index sensor in infrared (IR) domain. The effect of ITO film thickness at different wavelength is simulated theoretically. We reported the sensitivity of ~5.04 µm/RIU (Refractive Index Unit).
