A new menthane-type monoterpene from Pleurotus eryngii

2013
A new menthane-type monoterpene, pleurolactone (1), was isolated from the culture broth of the fungus Pleurotus eryngii, along with five known compounds 1, 2-dihydroxymintlactone (2), (22E, 24R)-ergosta-5, 7, 22-trien-3 beta-ol (3), (22E, 24R)-ergosta-7, 22-dien-3 beta, 5 alpha, 6 beta-triol (4), (22E, 24R)-ergosta-7, 22-dien-3 beta-ol (5), and cerebroside B (6). Their structures were identified by extensive spectroscopic analyses.
