Comprising: a potential well to be controlled and two stage Hall thruster magnetic circuit modeled with FEMM: Hall thruster potential well comprises four excitation coils; zero flux generated by ionization level thought to give ionization than two field coil current level, then adjusting the current of the exciting coil of two, ionizing stage generates the maximum magnetic flux density of 150 to 200G, and then adjust the current level of the acceleration of the two excitation coils, until the potential well two-stage Hall thruster sustain discharge. It is used to control the decoupling of the two-stage coupled to the magnetic field of the Hall thruster.
