Preparation of TC8-1 Titanium Alloy Large-sized Bars

In order to meet the need for high temperature titanium alloy used in aero-engine,the research on TC8-1titanium alloy ingot and its large-sized bars had been carried out. The results show that the ingredients of large ingot are uniform and the ingot has good metallurgic quality. The properties of large-sized bars,such as room and high temperature mechanical properties,thermal stability,stress rupture properties,creep properties and microstructure can meet the requirements of technical standards and material need for engine. This investigation fills up the blank in China. Meanwhile,in order to provide a reference for the application of this alloy,the data of physical performance of TC8-1 titanium alloy,such as the coefficient of linear expansion,thermal conductivity and so on are also provided.
