Dynamics of photoinduced distortion in fullerene
1997
Abstract Photoinduced charge transfer and excitation can cause the bond distortion in C 60 . The dynamical process of the bond distortion can be studied by analysing the normal vibrational modes. It is found that the H g mode dominates the bond relaxation and determines the relaxation time. This feature suggests the possibility to invoke the mode-selective chemical reaction.
