Abstract Electrochemical behaviour of the best conductive composition in the system N, N, N′, N′-tetramethylhomopiperazinium diiodide-silver iodide is studied. It presents a transport number of silver ions, within the limit of experimental error, of unity. Its electronic conductivity is 10 −9 (ohm cm) −1 . Its redox stability range is comprised between 0 and 690 mV. Electrodes particles diameter, morphology and surface area are studied with a particle analyser, SEM and OM photos. This electrolyte is tried in an all-solid generator. Cathodic polarizations are predominant when the microgenerator is discharged.
