The enthalpies of solution of tetraethyl- and tetrabutylammonium bromides in a water-formamide system

The heat effects of solution of tetraethyl- and tetrabutylammonium bromides in water-formamide mixtures were measured at 25°C. The enthalpy coefficients of pair interactions between the solutes and formamide in water and between the solutes and water in formamide were determined. The results were compared with those obtained for other water-amide systems. The experimental data could be predicted with high accuracy using the approach suggested earlier.
