The spread of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 isglobal, with millions infected and hundreds of thousandssuccumbing to the disease’s complications Outbreakscontinue to occur, with significant differences in severity,mortality, and rates of infection and recovery COVID-19has had substantial impact on health care systems as electiveprocedures and diagnostic studies are delayed to minimizerisk of exposure and reallocate resources to patients with thedisease This has created a rapidly evolving managementissue for nuclear medicine and molecular imaging (NMMI) As part of a concentrated effort to evaluate the earlyimpact of COVID-19 on NMMI, the SNMMI COVID-19 TaskForce developed a plan to identify the logistic and resourceproblems caused by COVID-19 and the ways in which thisglobal pandemic has affected our clinical practice, research,and members’ workforce environments In addition, the taskforce elicited feedback on how the society is meeting itsobligation to serve members’ needs during the pandemic
