ESTRUTURA POPULACIONAL E DISTRIBUIÇÃO ESPACIAL DE Protium decandrum (Aubl.) Marchand. EM UMA ÁREA DE FLORESTA OMBRÓFILA DENSA, AMAPÁ, BRASIL

2021
It was aimed to identify the pattern of spatial distribution and population structure of Protium decandrum (Aubl.) in Porto Grande, state of Amapa. It was implanted  a  permanent part with dimension  of  100 m x 100 m. The diameter and height of every single living tree that presented diameter at breast height (DBH) equal to or greater than 10 cm were measured. The pattern of spatial distribution was determined by using the Morisita’s Index of Dispersion (Id). In total, 26 individuals of P. decandrum were registered, presenting a total basal area of 0.605 m² and a total volume of 9.068 m³. The species presented a distribution in “inverted J” in the community of the study. The prevailing spatial pattern was of regular or uniform type (Id = 0.64 and the variance ratio/average of 0.37). The results indicate that the species presents a distribution and structure pattern different from other species in the Amazon when evaluated individually.
