Clinical observation of therapeutic effect of ursodeoxycholic acid treating infantile cytomegalovirus hepatitis

2008
Objective To explore the clinical therapeutic effect of ursodeoxycholic acid treating infantile cytomegalovirus hepatitis. Methods 54 inpatients from Jan 2005 to April 2008 in our hospital were randomly divided into treatment group(n=29,at basis of combined therapy, given ursodeoxycholic acid therapy with 10 mg/kg·d,tid for 2 weeks)and control group(n=25,simple combined therapy). The combined therapy included ganciclovir antiviral treatment;ATP,coenzyme A,inosine, vitamin C protecting hepatic function;maintaining water-electrolyte balance and acid-base equilibrium.Several serological indices including total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, indirect bilirubin, bile acid, and glutamate-pyruvate transaminase were measured two weeks later. Results There were significant differences between treatment group and control group in serum total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, indirect bilirubin, bile acid, and glutamate-pyruvate transaminase(P0.05).Conclusion Ursodeoxycholic acid can protect hepatocytes, stimulate choleresis, promoting jaundice resolution, and markedly ameliorate impaired liver function in patients.
