NEUTRON YIELDS FROM Rn + B, Rn + C, Rn + CaF$sub 2$, Rn + Mg, Rn + Al, Rn +Si, Rn + SiO$sub 2$, Rn + GRANITE

1957
It is known that when light clements are irradiated with alpha particles from naturally radioactive substances neutrons are produced. Results are presented of an investigation of yields and other parameters of radon sources of neutrons. The results are tabulated far target materials of boron, carbon, calcium fluoride, magnesium, aluminum, silicon, silicon dioxide, and granite. (J.S.R.)
