Study on micropropagation in vitro of Uenishiwase persimmon

Micropropagtion of Uenishiwase persimmon(Diospyros kaki Thunb.cv.‘uenishiwase') was studied. Effects of basal medium and hormones on propagation were studied. The results showed that MS medium was superior to MS(1/2N) and ZT 1.0 mg/L was superior to BA 5.0 mg/L significantly. There was no significant difference on shoot height between mediums containing ZT 1.0 mg/L and ZT 0.5 mg/L plus BA 1.0 mg/L. Number and height of shoot per explants were higher in the medium with IAA than IBA or NAA.
