Uberto, vescovo di Parma, e la sua scrittura

2015
The core of the paper is the section 3, where the A. describes the 4 attested subscriptions of Hubert, the influential bishop of Parma and archi-chancellor of emperor Otto I (among them, one evidence is unknown until now). Comparing these sources with some textual passages of diplomas written presumably by the bishop brought the scholars to the following hypotheses: 1. the chancellor of king Berengar II and his son Adalbert is the bishop Hubertus of Parma; 2. the bishop of Parma Hubertus is the same scribe who wrote several diplomas of Otto I and who is known as " Italiener B". To the hypothesis 1 are devoted the sections 1 and 2, in which the A. analyzes the 'recognitiones' of Hubertus and proposes a new interpretation of the "recognitio" of the diploma D Ber.II/Adalb. 13 (960 April 14th, Ravenna). To the hypothesis 2 is devoted the section 4: here, in particularly, the case-study represents the opportunity to discuss the methodological relationship between Palaeography and History.
