A provisional list of Irish archaeophytes.

2008
Archaeophytes are plant taxa that were introduced by humans before 1500. Here we record a first, provisional, list of Irish archaeophytes used in our other work. There are 96 taxa that are treated as archaeophytes in Ireland on the basis that they are regarded as archaeophytes in Britain and have established populations in Ireland. The limitations of this approach and the need for further work are discussed.
