The effectiveness of techniques for removing deposits, sanitation, and protection of the surfaces of the steam-and-water paths in the equipment at thermal power stations against corrosion

2002
The results of an analysis of known methods for cleaning the surfaces of the steam-and-water paths in the equipment at thermal power stations are presented. The specifics of surface-active substances belonging to the class of film-forming amines [primarily octadecylamine (ODA)], which serves as the detergent, are shown. The results of commercial trials of the new chemical technology for sparingly washing the equipment of a 200-MW power-generating unit at the OAO Shatura district power station (GRES) with its subsequent final cleaning, sanitation, and preservation using ODA are presented.
