Use of Electrical Heating in Heat Treatment Technology and Drying of Wild-Growing Raw

The work is devoted to the justification of the use of electric heating in the process of heat treatment and drying of wild-growing raw. Irkutsk region is one of the leading regions of the country in terms of energy and wild plant resources. Using the existing competitive advantages of the energy complex of the region, the enterprises for processing of wild-growing raw have the opportunity to increase 2-4 times the volume of electricity use in the technologies of heat treatment and drying of wild-growing raw. The process of heat treatment and raw materials drying in the electrotechnological system “emitter – material” is considered as the simplest case of heating and cooling of a homogeneous and isotropic body. From the standpoint of energy saving, the drying process is proposed to be carried out in a pulse-discontinuous IR heating mode with an operating time reduction of the radiators in each subsequent cycle. The essence of the mode is that the cycle period during which the radiator is turned on and off is kept constant, only the interval during which it is turned on is changed.
